Marlene Dietrich – 1952 (MD-101)

A combination of Marlene’s feline prowess and Milton’s one light style created many striking photographs in this session taken in June, 1952. This image, one of Milton’s most recognized, was selected by Life in 1997 as part of the 100 most important images of the 20th Century and then in 2000, inducted into the permanent collection of the Maison Europeenne de la Photographie in Paris. Seated on a Noguchi stool in Milton’s studio, Marlene displays her extraordinary legs.
